    • Agent reveals Arsenal talks for Roma's Aquilani

      The agent of Roma midfield star Alberto Aquilani has revealed talks have been held with Arsenal.

      The 23-year-old, capped four times by Italy and valued at around £12m, has been reported to be on Arsene Wenger's short-list of possible replacements for the Milan-bound Mathieu Flamini along with Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry and Manchester City youngster Michael Johnson.

      Those reports looked well founded after Aquilani's agent, Vincenzo Morabito, told Italia Uno: "Aquilani is speaking to Arsenal. We will have to see if Roma will be able to match his demands."

      dann bitte nächste, weil auf seiner position gibts die meisten alternativen, auch auf dem transfermarkt. und wenn sie uns mit geld zuschütten und er eh dauernd über nen wechsel nachdenkt - selbst wenn er ein echter romanista ist :hmpf:
      traurig wär ich natürlich trotzdem!

      Franco Zavaglia, procuratore di Alberto Aquilani, è intervenuto a Radio Radio assicurando il futuro del centrocampista della nazionale alla Roma: "Come ha detto la dottoressa Sensi Aquilani, De Rossi e Totti rimarranno sempre a Roma. La realtà è questa e bisogna darsi pace (...) Aquilani è un giocatore della Roma, la dottoressa Sensi non penso che si farà sfuggire questi giocatori. Totti chiuderà ormai la carriera nella Roma, quanto a De Rossi e Aquilani, anche se tutte le migliori squadre europee li vogliono, non credo che andranno via". Zavaglia ha poi smentito abboccamenti con la società giallorossa per discutere di un innalzamento dell'ingaggio del giocatore.

    • Hoffe das ist und bleibt so! Mag diese beiden Jungs wirklich und dazu sind sie noch hervorragende Talente! Die echten Römer in unserer Mannschaft ist das was die AS Roma so speziell und einzigartig macht gegenüber den anderen seelenlosen Bonzenclubs!

    • Aquilani: I'm 100 per cent Roma

      Alberto Aquilani is “flattered” by reported interest from Arsenal, but he is completely dedicated to the Roma cause.

      The gifted midfield starlet has become a pivotal figure for the Giallorossi and is seen as a foundation for the future of the club.

      However, Aquilani’s agent Vincenzo Morabito claimed on Monday that Arsenal had opened talks for the 23-year-old.

      “I can only say that I am flattered,” the Azzurri talent told the Corriere dello Sport.

      “According to speculation I have already gone to two or three of the mentioned sides.

      “But I have a deal at Roma until 2010. I am a part of this Giallorossi team and no other sides matter. Talk of a move makes no sense.”

      Aquilani was named in Roberto Donadoni’s provisional 24-man squad for Euro 2008 yesterday and his value is currently estimated at around £15m.

      Arsenal are looking to rebuild their midfield after the departure of Mathieu Flamini to Milan on a free transfer and may be preparing for the loss of Alexander Hleb, who has been widely linked with a move to Inter this summer.

      Come già preannuncito questa dovrebbe essere la settimana decisiva per Alberto Aquilani; se l'esito dell'incontro tra i suoi agenti ed il ds giallorosso Pradè sarà positivo ci sarà il rinnovo, altrimenti il giocatore andrà in scadenza, con Inter e Juventus pronte a piombare su di lui; alla vicenda Aquilani è indirettamente collegato anche il futuro di Simone Perrotta, che col talento romani si gioca il posto da titolare e che pare avere molte richieste da Spagna e Germania.

      Das sind die entscheidenden tage für aquilani: es gibt ein treffen zwischen den agenten und prade. entweder wird der vertrag verlängert oder aquilani geht. mit dieser frage ist auch perrotta verknüpft (seine position), der von spanischen und deutschen vereinen gejagt wird.

      in tuttosport steht, dass prade in der zwickmühle ist, da der verein einerseits aquilani behalten will, aber andererseits muss er kasse machen.
