Francesco Totti plans to play until he is 38-years-old and intends to extend his agreement with Roma, confirmed the Giallorossi captain.
The world champion is currently contracted to the capital city club until 2011, but is ready to commit to the outfit until the end of his career, which started back in 1993.
“My contract expires in 2011, but before then I want to extend it for two or three years beyond that date,” said Totti to the magazine Number 10.
“I will keep on playing until I am physically fit, although I have yet to decide what to do after that. I won’t become a Coach, because it is not part of my DNA. I would like to become a club official instead.”
Someone suggested in the past that Totti might have won more had he chosen to leave Roma, but Er Pupone has no regrets.
“I am happy I decided to stay. Love is very important in my life and I could never find elsewhere the love I have felt in this city.
“I would have never been Totti somewhere else, here I truly feel part of a family,” explained Roma’s symbol, who is sure that his supporters will one day find his true successor.
“I believe that there will be someone after me, the fans do not need to worry. Roma is full of talents,” concluded the 30-year-old.
