      Reports from Italy suggest that Milan are willing to offer Kakha Kaladze plus a cash sum in order to sign French stopper Philippe Mexes.
      The Rossoneri are looking to strengthen their depleted defence in the January transfer window and with a deal for Massimo Oddo looking complicated it has been suggested they will move for Mexes.
      It is rumoured that the Diavoli will have to outbid Juventus, who have allegedly offered the Toulouse-born defender a five-year deal worth around £1.3m per season.
      However, Milan may have the advantage in negotiations if they are willing to offer Georgia international Kaladze.
      There had been whispers that Milan may chase Barcelona stopper Juliano Belletti should they fail to sign Oddo, but Belletti’s brother Sandro – who acts as his agent – has denied any approach took place.
      “I’ve had no contact with Milan,” he claimed. “Juliano has a contract with Barcelona for two more years and will give his all for the club.
      “He would only listen to other offers if Barcelona decided to cancel his contract,” he concluded.

      Roma defender Philippe Mexes is keen on a move to Inter Milan.

      The France international defender has been urged by countrymen Patrick Vieira and Ollie Dacourt to join them at Inter next season.

      Mexes is entering the final 18 months of his current Roma contract, which carries a £7 million buyout clause, and is still to open negotiations about a new extension.

      naja, einsamkeit, die nur franz. heimatkollegen stillen können wird für ihn kein entscheidungsgrund sein - bei uns hätte er eh faty und ein franz. verteidiger wird wohl auch noch kommen. also da muss sich die presse schon was besseres einfallen lassen.

    • Mexes hat CHIVU. Die lieben sich doch, so wie die sich behandeln und Späße machen. Nur ich denke die Interfutzis sollten schön ruhig sein. Inter wird immer mehr zum Packverein. Ich seh sie langsam auf einer Ebene mit Rubbe! Wird Zeit für Anti Intern Smileys!

    • Gegen Grosso hätte Ich auch nichts =) Aber zu Inter: Sie heissen halt Internazionale, da wundert es doch nicht, dass sie kaum Italiener im Team haben^^

    • Inter Milan boss Mancini fancies unsettled Roma duo

      Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini has identified three big transfer targets for the summer market.

      Mancini has already given the green light for Inter directors Lele Oriali and Marco Branca to open talks with Villarreal for midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme, while this week he also told president Massimo Moratti he wants Roma pair Amantino Mancini and Philippe Mexes.

      Mexes has less than 18 months to run on his existing contract, while Mancini's future at Roma is also in doubt due to a long-running feud with captain Francesco Totti.

    • Real Madrid closing in on Roma defender Mexes

      Real Madrid are closing in on Roma defender Philippe Mexes.

      The France international's current contract is inside it's final 18 months and carries a buyout clause of £7.5 million.

      Mexes admits his future could lie away from the capital and said last night: "My future? There are many great clubs being mentioned, but before anything they must first speak with Roma."

      Real chief Franco Baldini, who was instrumental in signing Mexes for Roma, is urging his board to shell out for the Frenchman.
