Inter want 100 points
Inter director general Ernesto Paolillo has declared that he hopes the Nerazzurri will set a new record winning 100 points in the championship.
The San Siro outfit, unbeaten in all competition since September, leads the table with a 16-point lead over Roma and has broken a number of records already this season.
“We just began our centenary year and I think we should aim at winning 100 points in Serie A,” said Paolillo.
“We want to reach this important objective, if we do I think it would represent a record that would not be easy to break and that would highlight the importance of this year,” added the Nerazzurro.
The official also confirmed the latest reports suggesting that Coach Roberto Mancini is set to extend his deal with Inter, which currently ends in the summer.
“There are no problems at all, I am sure he will stay because he is a good Coach and has built a great team.
“That is the only way, to make few signings and not compromise the balance of the squad.”
Paolillo also stated that it is unlikely that Gianluigi Buffon will join the San Siro club.
“I don’t think he will come, we have a great goalkeeper like Julio Cesar and an excellent second man who is Francesco Toldo. We have no special needs in this role,” concluded the director.
