Mancini set to sign new Roma contract
      tribalfooball.com - July 30, 2007

Amantino Mancini is set to put pen to paper on an improved contract with Roma today.

Il Romanista says the Brazilian winger will ink a new five-year contract worth £2 million-a-season.

Roma executive director Rosella Sensi thrashed out terms with Mancini's agent Gilmar Veloz last week.

      fein :)

L’ingaggio? 2.5 milioni l’anno, come Mexes. Modesto
firma in settimana.
Being a Roma fan is a full-time job. A full-time job without pay, benefits or means to sanity.

    • Mancini waits on Giallorossi

Roma winger Amantino Mancini is set to sign a new deal at the Stadio Olimpico, according to his agent Gilmar Veloz.

The 27-year-old shone in the Giallorossi’s impressive 2006-07 campaign, but is unhappy with his current contract as it only offers a small pay rise each season.

Veloz has previously claimed that his client has attracted interest from high-profile European clubs, including Liverpool, but now is looking to negotiate a better settlement with the capital club.

“I’m waiting on Roma to find an agreement and that is the priority,” he told Radio Radio. “I have already spoken to sporting director Daniele Prade’ and Mancini has been in touch with chief Rosella Sensi.

“Amantino has expressed the desire to stay and now we are waiting for a response. He is a world-class player who has proven in Italy that he could play in any country.”

Veloz also represents Real Madrid’s Emerson who has recently been heavily linked with Inter and took the chance to rubbish speculation that the ex-Juventus man may return to the peninsula.

“Emerson has another two years on his contract at Real and I don’t want to talk about rumours that are untrue,” he responded.

Mancini Waiting For New Roma Contract - Agent
Amantino Mancini's agent has said that the player is waiting for Roma to hand him a new contract.

Mancini has decided to commit his future to the Giallorossi, but only if offered new terms, his agent, Gilmar Veloz has revealed.

The current contract contains a clause that offers him a pay rise eash season, but it is not considered enough, and the Brazilian wants another deal.

"I’m waiting on Roma to find an agreement and that is the priority," Veloz told Radio Radio.

"I have already spoken to sporting director Daniele Prade, and Mancini has been in touch with chief Rosella Sensi.

"He is a world-class player who has proven in Italy that he could play in any country."

With the likes of Liverpool keeping a close eye on the talks, there is some pressure on the Roma bosses, it seems. However, there seems to be no reason to panic at the moment.
